  • May 22 2010- Joe's Ride and Stride- an event to commemorate the children in Olney, MD who have passed- it will benefit the Joseph Patrick Sanford Memorial Foundation which donates both acts of service and funds to the needs of children who are suffering in various ways and to organizations that touched Joe's life during his battle with cancer

  • August 22, 2009 8am-1pm: DCPS Beautification Day: joined the Washington Capitals at the Emery Education Campus to participate in the official day for a citywide "spruce up" of all DC public schools in preparation for the new school year. Cleanup efforts included landscaping, painting, trash pickup, planting flowers, and more!

  • August 8, 2009 4-6pm: American Heart Association and the Alliance for a Healthier Generation's Recess by the River: helped lead over 200 children from ward 6 of DC in educational activities to fight childhood obesity
